Thirty years of software architecture, in industry, finance, telecoms and public administration, in Switzerland and across Europe. I learned Lean in industry, from people who measured the flow before talking about it.
What defines me fits in one sentence: I tell clients whether the thing they want is the thing they need, and I accept losing an engagement over it. I did it in my very first internship, arguing that nothing should be built. I did it at a bank, pointing out that we were building the car instead of the car factory; the project was never delivered. I still do it today, at the level of a division in an industrial group.
That is why I always start by seeing clearly before delivering. And why I sell neither hours, nor solutions, nor dependency.
I live near Lausanne and I work in French and English.
